FAGIOLO RAMPICANTE DI SPAGNA CORONA GR. 250 (U PAPPALLUNI)
La pianta si presenta come un rampicante abbastanza vigoroso a maturazione scalare; Il baccello è di colore verde, con dimensioni di circa 14-15 cm di lunghezza e 2-2,5 cm di larghezza. Il seme, di grandi dimensioni (2-2,5 cm x 1,5 cm), ha forma ovale leggermente reniforme e schiacciata, colorazione bianca, tipo un fagiolo Bianco di Spagna o Corona da cui probabilmente deriva. Il fagiolo viene usato sgranato fresco o secco generalmente in abbinamento con piatti a base di maiale.Come fagiolo si presenta con buccia un po' consistente e pasta farinosa ma morbida
Per la preparazione del terreno viene effettuata una leggera aratura (25 - 30 cm) seguita da una erpicatura attraverso la quale si effettua la somministrazione del fertilizzante, generalmente organico. La semina avviene nel mese di maggio con sesti di impianto che variano da 20-30 cm sulla fila e 1-1,5 mt fra le file. Le Irrigazioni devono essere costanti ma non eccessive. La raccolta viene fatta manualmente dalla fine di luglio fino a settembre; il prodotto viene fatto seccare sull'aia al sole e, quindi, viene selezionato. Il fagiolo è discretamente produttivo e si possono raccogliere circa 40-50 q.li/ha di prodotto fresco.
