Însămânțarea se poate face în două perioade diferite: la sfârșitul lunii aprilie-începutul lunii mai sau în iulie; în primul caz, având în vedere că ciclul minim de maturare este de 60 de zile, recoltarea are loc la sfârșitul lunii iunie-începutul lunii iulie, în al doilea în septembrie. Maturarea este scalară, prin urmare recolta durează o perioadă de 40 de zile. Soiul este alpinism și are nevoie de sprijin; florile sunt violete.
